How much I love languages already became clear at a very early age when I was still in kindergarten, when someone rashly taught me my first English words. Many trips to foreign countries failed to reduce this interest of mine. So it was simply logical for me to decide on doing “something with language” as my profession.
Today I am a qualified translator translating your texts from English, Spanish and Dutch into German.
My Career
On April 1st, 2003 I graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Cologne as a translator. I also spent several semesters as a visiting student at:
- Universidad de León,
- Leipzig University,
- John Moores University Liverpool,
- Erasmus Hogeschool in Brussels
Temporary minor subjects:
Psychology
Business management
Further linguistic proficiency:
French, Afrikaans
I graduated with the translation of an economic specialist text from Spanish into German including annotations on selected translation problems:
Guillermo de la Dehesa: Comprender la globalización, capítulo 11: España ante la globalización.
On top of that, I like to take the opportunity to further my education in workshops or as a guest student at Cologne University.
